The Vynals started as 60s purists, but began adding 70s and 80s songs later on. The song-selection strategy was well-defined: only play great songs that were also top hits, while still trying to avoid playing the same ol' songs that every cover band plays. With a few exceptions (every band has to play Brown-Eyed Girl), it was mission accomplished. A majority of the Vynals' songs charted in the Top 10, yet were songs not usually heard played live.
